In our newest weekly feature, we’re bringing some of the best fan made video content related to GTA 5 produced in the past 7 days, every Sunday.
Amid all of the fake leak videos, “funny” moments compilations and the several 3-5 minute videos per day uploaded by the same person where they dissect some rumor over and over again by reading up forum posts made by others, you probably don’t have the time or patience to sift through all the crap to find the good GTA 5 videos out there – but don’t worry, we’ll do it for you!
Last week, we showed you a GTA 5-ified tribute to campy 80’s show Magnum P.I., a snippet of gameplay from a REBL thematic lobby, a display of just how peaceful the game can really be when players are not wrecking shit and a comparison of the shaders seen in the GTA 5 Redux mod (click here for our coverage on the stolen code controversy and our updated stance on the mod). This week we’re bringing you a Rockstar Editor short about aliens, a mock-up of what Cops N’ Crooks would be like in GTA 5, a stylish vehicle showcase, a parody of your typical clickbait videos and finally just a short and impressive clip depicting an alternate use for a yacht.
Out There… [GTA 5 Rockstar Editor Machinima] – MuzTube
Have you ever wondered why it is always the UFO believers who get abducted? Obviously they all justify this by saying that you only become a believer after you experience abduction, but hey, maybe the drugs might be involved too. This Rockstar Editor short from Müz puts a more realistic twist on the typical alien abduction story. Don’t do drugs, kids!
Cops N’ Crooks: This Is My City – The Damned PSN
Remember the Cops N’ Crooks mode from GTA IV? You know, that team deathmatch mode which basically just changed the skins of the players and added some tactical aspects? Well, everyone seems to remember the mode fondly, and wish that it would be added to Online. This video acts as a mock-trailer should the mode actually make its way into the game via DLC, and it sure paints a pretty picture. In fact, some kind of update which allows players to perform police duty (even if under some criminal pretense) has been almost as hotly requested as Bikers.
Skyline Life (GTA 5 Rockstar Editor Machinima) – Logic-Films
This is not the first time the work of Logic-Films appeared on our list of top videos. Made by Drowsy, the video is a neat, calm, slow showcase of the Warrener, the GTA version of a vintage Nissan Skyline. The video absolutely oozes style in every shot, even in those where the vehicle itself is not visible. The editing work is phenomenal, and Drowsy really chose his shots well. It may be true that there isn’t much going on in the video, but the cool, calm style is just fitting.
GTA V LEAKED SPACE DLC | CLICK BAIT – Suco Vidya
Ever watch one of those incredibly tacky and poorly edited videos of mundane gameplay with some guy talking over it about a leak that’s actually fake while having random captions flash on-screen about what he’s saying? You know the kind, where they always always start with “what’s up guys?” (and then don’t wait for your to respond. How rude.), and ask you to “smash” the like button because they think it’s funny? Yeah, this video is poking fun at those people. Enjoy.
[GTA: Online] When Every Other Parking Spot is Taken – SgtJinto
Well, there isn’t a whole lot we can say about this one without giving it away. It’s pretty short, but it’s neat and impressive. I guess this is why you should never be the last one to a yacht-party if your piloting skills aren’t up to snuff. This is also a pretty good way of making a DIY aircraft carrier, though I doubt the Department of Defense would approve.
That wraps up this week’s top videos. If you ever come across a GTA video over the course of next week that you feel is worthy of being on such a list, feel free to share it in a comment below this article.
