Real life GTA videos are hardly a new thing with fans having previously recorded themselves revisiting notable landmarks in Los Angeles which also appear in the game’s world. Hell, the foreign GTA video is also a frequent idea with both Russian and Taiwanese versions existing. This most recent production fits both bills but does something different by going for a scene-for-scene recreation of the first GTA V teaser trailer that was released waaaay back.
The primarily Spanish team over at Zapruder Pictures has done a pretty solid job of recreating the magnificent teaser trailer for GTA V. This trailer got folks hella excited back in the day when the launch of GTA V was still a bit off and people could only speculate as to what kind of an experience it will be. No one knew at the time how big a hit it would become. Of course they knew it would be successful, it’s GTA after all, however no one could have foreseen the massive success it still enjoys three years later.
Surprisingly enough Madrid makes for a great Los Santos despite not resembling Los Angeles in the least. The teaser’s scenes and direction lend themselves to live action and the team really put the effort into getting all the shots right. With quite a few guest actors, they have all the NPC placement right on point, as well as all the locations for the various shots.
In some places the team had to resort to special effects, as they hardly had the kind of funding to get two police car replicas to crash, or, you know, a fighter jet. The video is quite popular too, having reached near two million views since it was first posted, making it one of the most popular GTA V fan videos out there.
Have you ever attempted to create a real life fan vid?
This post is a bit of a mish-mash of sorts, but with all the Grand Theft Auto V hype, news and opinion currently taking over the internet, with though it was time to start cutting down on the extra noise…
Using the new “character switching” feature/ability in GTA 5, the creator gives us an amazing insight into just how big the gaming world in GTA V is, how easy it is going to be to get lost, and also how hard/impossible it might be to find someone (the city is big, but the desert is bigger).
Anyway it’s a great piece of work so kudos to ‘Leobc’ for creating it.
GTA V Marketing Images
We’ve made multiple posts on Rockstar’s marketing efforts for Grand Theft Auto 5 and just how impressive/substantial they are, and these next two shots only prove that point further.
First up we have this photo taken of the Los Angeles downtown skyline. Notice that one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb!? Thanks Armgerm for the shot.
Secondly there’s this photo taken of an entire tram emblazened with GTA V graphics – most notably “Beach Girl”. And yes, trams are a big part of the public transport system in Melbourne, Australia. Thanks JCXtreme.
With under a week left until the release of Grand Theft Auto V you can really feel the anticipation starting to grow. Internet forums and discussion boards are getting filled with GTA 5 related posts and traffic here at GTA 5 Cheats is also increasing significantly – it seems you guys want to know the cheat codes just as much as we do!
That said there has also been a lot more fan-created content being published and today we have three GTA 5 images we think you’ll enjoy.
The first piece will appeal to fans of the movie Heat. Thanks to RumblePhish of Reddit for posting. And in fact, Heat is probably the sort of movie to watch if you wanna get fired up for GTA V. Makes sense…
Next up is this new piece of artwork from renowned illustrator Patrick Brown. We’ve covered his work previously at GTA 5 Cheats and he literally just published the image below. We love it as much as his pretty pieces so make sure you check them all out at his official website.
Finally, Reddit user mandarijn decided to create this pretty cool animated GIF that not only shows off the size of the GTA V map, but does so using elements of the character switching feature that is new to GTA 5. Inspiring stuff!
Oh, and did we mention it’s just 6 days (nearly 5 in fact) until release hour!
We hope you’re making the most of this weekend, it will be one of your last before Grand Theft Auto V arrives on September 17 and potentially ruins your social life for the next few weeks/months/years. That said check out these brand new GTA 5 screenshots so you have a better idea of what to look forward to!
We already revealed several snaps of the Bravado Banshee that Rockstar Games has been creating together with West Coast Customs, but today they’ve “officially” unveiled the new car for the world to see.
This is the in-game version of the car
What that means is a heap of new high quality photos of the finished product, as well as Rockstar’s description of the manufacturing process further below.
Significant work went into creating this real world version of the 2013 model featured in Grand Theft Auto V. Utilizing state-of-the-art fabrication technologies, molds for the exterior were cut and machined piece-by-piece for the high performance base vehicle. With these molds each panel was laid out by hand to create an entirely new exterior resulting in a screen accurate reproduction of the Banshee.
Referencing the model and textures of the in-game car, the interior was handcrafted and stitched to capture the look and feel of its detailed cockpit, with seats upholstered and embroidered with the Banshee name and insignia. The dashboard, door panels and center console were reconfigured and finished with carbon inlays. And finally, a multi-speaker premium sound system was installed before giving it the iconic metallic blue exterior complete with ice white racing stripe.
The official GTA V website over at Rockstar was recently updated to include a heap more images for Grand Theft Auto V (both properly visible and buried within the code). What we’ve done is extracted them all for you to see in one nice easy-to-read post. Check them out below.
PS: We even managed to grab proper color versions of the images that are stilled greyed out/not clickable (see “Hidden” below).
Is it just us or is September 17 taking its sweet time in getting here? On the one hand we’ve broken through the 90 day/three month barrier (check out the countdown timer on the left), but on the other hand we still have 84 days to go. To add to the suspense, we’ve had no real news or fresh screenshots/video for quite some time – until today.
First, Gamestop has some recent posters, including one showing new artwork (update – see below). In it, you can see Franklin and Michael in the midst of planning a heist and sorting out the arsenal of weapons they’re gonna need. Pretty cool.
Update: the artwork above is not new, but (like the image below) the quality and format is.
Secondly, you might remember the “Easy Rider” Trevor image that we posted a while back. The problem is the pic was pretty low quality. Well a Hungarian gaming site – GTAGames.hu – has found a much better version, which we’ve embedded below for you. The watermark is a shame, but what ya gonna do?
We have a very cool, unexpected GTA 5 surprise today – new screenshots! Rockstar Games has released a total of twelve new images for us to drool over. The shots feature lots of vehicles (particularly motorbikes), shoot-outs, drive-bys, ‘Jason’, monkey and skull masks, and more! Take a look below.
