Idiot Kid Emulates GTA V In Real Life With Stolen Van

You guys do realize that the people who are trying to ban video games, especially “violent” games such as Grand Theft Auto, are not the guys we want to be siding with, right?

Ideas like this will only make it that much harder for gamers to enjoy the hobby we all share. This is the kind of situation where the whole community will always be judged by the least responsible and least stable member, not on grounds of the average. And this mean, that if one member of the GTA community, or gaming community as a whole, does something as astronomically stupid as this, and then outright links it with the easiest, most controversial cash cow in the industry, you’re just making us all look bad.

Yup, this is what happens when you don’t discipline your children. Some kid from Gloverville, Albany decided that GTA V wasn’t realistic enough. He stole a van from his home town and went on a little sight-seeing tour to a neighboring city, Johnstown, using the stolen vehicle.

In true GTA fashion, the kid couldn’t drive for shit, and drove most of the way in the oncoming lane, and took the life of one poor, innocent “one way” sign. RIP. Once in Johnstown, said kid abandoned the damaged vehicle, and, because as we’ve established, he is a bright fellow, another car was promptly stolen.

The police were on to him at this point, and quickly caught up. In the end, the kid was caught an arrested in freaking Grove Street. Let that sink in.

The arrest report stated that he told the police that he was recreating GTA in real life, which involved drifting with a van in a populated area and crashing into various types of guard rails. The kid is being charged with Grand Larceny, with more on the way.

Guys, please don’t do crap like this!
