We’ve been getting a lot of non-answers and evasions from Take-Two and Rockstar on the topic of GTA V being ported to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two’s CEO, has at least given some insight on what will make up their minds.
According to Zelnick (who spoke to MCVUK), Take-Two will release their games on any system, as long as that system has players who want those games, saying “If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we will release our games on it]”. He also drew a distinction between releasing a game on a new system to “drive [the consumers] there” versus seeing that a system has consumers for the game and then releasing it.
With all the excitement and anticipation for a PC release of GTA V, we’re pretty sure the consumers are there, but have Take-Two and Rockstar realized this? What do you think?
